Results | Schedule

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky’s men’s and women’s distance medley
relays both won on Friday, beginning the Kentucky Invitational and more broadly
the 2016 season, in strong fashion.

The women’s team of Michelle McKinney (1,200 meters), Precious Hitchcock
(400m), Ariah Graham (800m) and Caroline McCaslin (mile) ran 11:32.35 to begin
the season with a time that ranks faster than any recorded in the nation this
season prior to Friday.

The UK men’s relay of Gabe Harm, Ian Jones, Shane Dillon and Lou Styles
completed the sweep as Styles pulled away on the anchor lap, posting a relay
time of 9:57.85.

Rebecca Famurewa placed as the top collegian, third overall, in the weight
throw. Her mark was 66’8″/20.32m, fewer than three inches shy of her
national No. 2 mark: 69’6.25″ which she threw in December 2015.

Jeneva Stevens competing for NYAC won the women’s weight throw with a 2016 world-leading mark of 77’9.5″/23.71m, which broke the field house record.

Logan Bryer placed sixth in the weight throw with a PR mark of 63’3.5”/19.29m.

fields of any meet in the nation for the Rod McCravy Memorial Jan. 22-23.
