Team Records and Series Notes
• Kentucky is now 17-6 on the season, 7-3 in Southeastern Conference action. Florida is 15-8 overall, 6-4 in league play.
• Kentucky leads the all-time series 98-37 and has won four in a row.
• Next for the Wildcats: UK plays host to Georgia on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 9 p.m.
In the First Half
• Kentucky started with the lineup of Tyler Ulis, Isaiah Briscoe, Jamal Murray, Derek Willis and Marcus Lee for the first time this season.
• Murray extended UK’s string of 962 games with a 3-pointer when he connected with 18:54 on the clock, giving the Wildcats a 5-2 lead.
• An early 8-0 run gave UK a 10-2 lead, forcing a Florida timeout with 18:03 left in the half. UK built the lead to 18-5 and the Gators called another timeout with 16:03 left.
• UK eventually completed a 22-3 run to gain a 24-5 advantage.
• Another UK run, this one 14-3, gave the Wildcats their biggest bulge of the first half at 42-18.
• Florida responded with its own run, an 11-0 spurt that moved the Gators within 13 at 42-29.
• UK went to halftime ahead 50-32.
• Tied for the most first-half points this season, also 50 vs. EKU.
• Seven 3-pointers are most in the first half this season.
• Murray scored 20 points in the first half, first time that has happened in the John Calipari era at Kentucky.
• Ulis had 15 points, tying his career best for the first half, and the fifth game in a row he had double figures in the opening period.
• Kentucky is now 15-3 when owning a halftime advantage.
In the Second Half
• Kentucky began the second half with an 8-0 surge, lifting UK’s biggest lead of the day to 58-32 and prompting Florida to call its final timeout with 18:10 on the clock.
• The Gators eventually cut the margin to 13 at 74-61, but the visitors got no closer.
Team Notes
• Kentucky extended its home-court winning streak to 33 games.
• UK is 32-7 under Calipari in bounce-back games after losses. UK has never lost more than two in a row in Calipari’s seven seasons.
• Kentucky shot 51.7 percent from the field.
• UK won the rebounding, 37-28. UK has a 16-1 record this season when winning or tying the rebounding but is 1-5 when losing the carom gathering. The rebounding led to a 17-11 advantage in second-chance points.
• UK limited Florida to 61 points. The Wildcats are 128-5 under Calipari when holding the opponent to 63 or fewer points.
• Calipari has a 652-184 (.780) all-time record, including a 207-44 (.825) mark at Kentucky.
• Calipari is 115-4 (.966) in Rupp Arena. Calipari has two of the top-three longest win streaks in Rupp Arena history – 54 by Calipari, 33 by Rick Pitino, 33 by Calipari.
Player Notes
• Freshman Jamal Murray had a career-high 35 points.
• Murray is the first player in school history to have two 30-point games in his freshman season. He had 33 vs. Ohio State on Dec. 19.
• He is the first player in the Calipari era with two 30-point games in a season, as well as in his career.
• Tied Terrence Jones (35 vs. Auburn on Jan. 11, 2011) for the most points in the Cal era.
• It is his eighth game this season with at least 20 points.
• It is his 21st consecutive double-figure scoring game.
• Murray hit eight 3-point shots, his career high and just one shy of the Rupp Arena record of nine by Tony Delk vs. TCU on Jan. 20, 1995.
• The eight 3-pointers ties Eric Bledsoe, vs. East Tennessee State in the NCAA Tournament, for the most 3’s in a single-game in the Calipari era.
• Murray hit 8-of-10 on his 3-point attempts. The 80 percent mark is the second-best single-game mark in school history with a minimum of eight made. Bledsoe was 8-of-9 in that contest for 88.9 percent.
• He has made at least one 3-point shot in every game this season, the first player in program history to make a triple in each of his first 22 collegiate games.
• His 22-consecutive games with a made 3-pointer are the most since Darius Miller made at least one from long range in 25 consecutive games during the 2010-11 season.
• Sophomore Tyler Ulis had 18 points and a career-high 11 assists, his third double-double of the season and second of the points/assists variety.
• He is the first Wildcat with at least four assists in 16 consecutive games since Roger Harden had 17 in the 1985-86 season.
• Junior Derek Willis notched 12 points and tied for the team lead with six rebounds. It is his seventh double-figure scoring game of the season.
• He has led the team in rebounding in six of the last seven games.
• Junior Marcus Lee had four points and tied for the team lead with six rebounds.
• Lee made both of his field goal attempts today and is 5-of-5 over the last three games.
• Seeing a career-high 15 minutes, freshman Isaac Humphries contributed four points, six rebounds and two blocked shots.
