Team Records and Series Notes
-Kentucky falls to 8-4 this season, while Louisville rises to 13-0.
-Matthew Mitchell is in his 11th season as head coach at Kentucky. He is the winningest head coach in program history at 249-104.
-The Wildcats still own a 34-20 edge in the all-time series between the two programs, including a 22-5 advantage in games played in Lexington.

• It was the first time Kentucky has lost to Louisville inside Memorial Coliseum since Feb. 6, 1979.

-Today’s loss marks the first time UK has dropped three games in a row since the 2015-16 season, from Jan. 28-Feb. 4 (vs. Vanderbilt, Florida and South Carolina).
-Today’s game snapped a streak of 71 consecutive regular-season non-conference wins inside Memorial Coliseum, which dated back to Dec. 19, 2008 vs. Alabama A&M.
-Kentucky will return to action Thursday, Dec. 21, taking on Pac-12 foe California at noon ET inside Memorial Coliseum. The game will be broadcast live on SEC Network, as well as on the UK Sports Radio Network with Darren Headrick calling the action.
 
Team Notes
-Kentucky used the starting combination of senior Alyssa Rice, senior Makenzie Cann, junior Taylor Murray, junior Maci Morris and sophomore Jaida Roper.

• UK is 0-1 with that starting-five combination.

-After Louisville started the game on a 7-0 run, the scoring was back and forth for the remainder of the first quarter.

• UK trailed 23-16 at the end of the period and never led in the game.

-The second quarter was the difference maker as the Cardinals outscored UK 24-9 to take a 47-25 lead into halftime.
-The Wildcats fought back in the second half, only being outscored 40-38.
-After shooting just 9-of-26 (.346) in the first half, UK had much improved shooting in the second half, going 13-of-23 (.565) from the floor.
 
Player Notes
–Taylor Murray posted an incredible stat line in the game with eight points, seven rebounds, seven assists and five steals.

• Murray has led Kentucky in twice this season, in assists five times and in steals eight times.

–Maci Morris led Kentucky in scoring, posting 16 points with five rebounds.

• It was her 11th double-digit scoring performance of the season and the seventh time she’s led UK this season.

–Tatyana Wyatt scored 10 points to go along with two boards in the contest.

• It was the fifth time she’s scored in double-digits this season.

–Jaida Roper added nine points and two assists as she made her third career start.

• It was her first start of the season.
