Wildcats in the Pros -- Feb. 10

Each week, Wildcats in the Pros catches up with some former Kentucky student-athletes who are doing big things in professional athletics.

Travathan is Super Bowl 50 Champion

It was clear on Sunday night that the Denver Broncos’ defense was dominant in their 24-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Arguably the top contributor for the Super Bowl Champions’ suffocating defense was former Wildcat Danny Trevathan.
In his second Super Bowl appearance, Trevathan not only tied the Super Bowl single-game record with two fumble recoveries, but he also led the Broncos with eight total tackles. Travathan racked up 109 total tackles this year, becoming the team’s top tackler for the season.
Trevathan’s first trip to the Super Bowl was two years ago in a 43-8 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, where he led both teams with seven tackles and five assists.
The 2012 sixth-round draft pick is a free agent and expected to attract plenty of attention from NFL teams.
