LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the second time this season, the Kentucky Wildcats have been named the Oracle ITA Big Mover of the Week.
UK was named the Oracle ITA Big Mover following an upset of No. 31 Notre Dame, 4-0, on Sunday morning in South Bend, Indiana. Kentucky’s performance moved the team to 7-2 on the season.
The Wildcats then catapulted 29 spots in the national rankings, moving from No. 47 to No. 18 in the country in the Feb. 23 rankings.
This marks the second time the Wildcats have been named the Oracle ITA Big Mover this season. Kentucky earned the namesake first on Jan. 20, when its upset of No. 13 Duke and a 3-0 record sprung the team to No. 55 in the nation after previously being unranked.
The ITA also released its newest singles rankings, with two members of the UK contingent being named in the top 100 players. Sophomore standout William Bushamuka came in at No. 31 in the most recent polls, while freshman standout Ryotaro Matsumura clocked in at No. 90 overall.
