Last month, Kentucky fans helped vote Darius Miller’s one-handed alley-oop against St. John’s into the finals for Dunk of the Year. The Big Blue Nation shouldn’t have any trouble doing the same for Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s signature throwdown.Kidd-Gilchrist’s posterizing slam against Portland is one of six flushes nominated in week two of Dunk of the Year voting. He is nominated alongside players from Ohio State, Georgia and Oklahoma State, among others, and is already in first place with 43 percent of early votes.Voting will be open through Monday, Feb. 13, after which the top-two vote getters will advance to the finals alongside Miller and others. From that group of finalists, a winner will be announced as part of the Dunks of the Year special, which airs March 26 on ESPN2.
