Quarterback Tim Couch will be named preseason first-team All-America in the Lindy’s college football annual, which is scheduled to hit the newsstands on June 2. Couch, a junior from Hyden, Ky., completed 363 of 547 passes for 3,884 yards and 37 touchdowns last season. He led the nation in passing attempts, completions, completion percentage, and yardage. He broke or tied 17 school records and 10 Southeastern Conference records.

In addition, Couch was chosen first in Lindy’s list of the “Top 10 Talents” in the Southeastern Conference. Couch and wide receiver Craig Yeast were picked for Lindy’s All-SEC first team. Couch’s national preseason honors include first-team All-America by Sport and Lindy’s magazines and second-team All-America by the College Sports News internet site.
