The University of Kentucky volleyball team moved to 13-7 on the year and 4-3 in the SEC after they fell to the Lady Bulldogs of Georgia (5-11, 3-4 SEC) in three games, 15-6, 15-8, 15-13.

The Wildcats struggled offensively as they were only able to post an .056 team hitting percentage for the match. Senior outside hitter LaTanya Webb led the Cats with 10 kills, while junior Katie Eiserman posted seven kills and eight digs against the Lady Bulldogs. “Georgia played really, really well,” UK coach Jona Braden said. “Obviously, we were not very sharp. Georgia came in ready to go and they played a great game.”

Georgia was led by sophomore middle blocker Nnenna Amobi, who recorded 16 kills and a .458 hitting percentage against the Wildcats. Junior Kathy Vis racked up 14 kills, three block assists and a .609 hitting percentage in the match.

The Wildcats return to SEC action next weekend when they travel south to take on Auburn and Alabama. Kentucky returns home on Sunday, Nov. 1, when it takes on the Lady Vols of Tennessee at 2 p.m. in UK’s Memorial Coliseum.
