ATHENS, Ga. – The final round of the SEC Men’s Golf Championships was suspended at 10:50 a.m. ET due to rain and officially called off at 1:00 p.m. ET due to unplayable conditions at the University of Georgia Golf Course Sunday.

As a result, the tournament was officially a 36-hole event for the first time since 1965. Kentucky maintained its 11th place position in the SEC Tournament with an overall score of 603 after two rounds. The host school, Georgia, was declared SEC golf champions with a score of 567 after two rounds. Leading the Wildcats, is sophomore Wes Furnish who moved 25 spots to tie for 23rd place, firing a 70, in day two of competition. UK will play next at the Wolverine Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich., May 2-3.
