COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of Kentucky’s Carlos Drada advanced to the quarterfinals of the Flight A-1 Singles of the South Carolina Fall Invitational on Saturday.

Drada defeated Cy Scammel, 6-3, 6-2; Joad Leite, 6-2, 7-6 (6); and Justin O’Neal, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1, to advance to the quarterfinal round, which will be played on Sunday.

UK’s Edo Bawono defeated Johan Hansen, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2; Travis Parrott, 7-5, 6-1, and Johan Varverud, 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the fourth round. Bawono then lost to Jerome Jourdon, 6-1, 6-4. He will now compete in the consolation bracket.
