ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Kentucky men’s and women’s track teams finished tenthand ninth, respectively, at the 1999 Southeastern Conference Championshipsin Athens, Ga. this weekend.

Sophomore Jeff Ellis won the 400m hurdles on Sunday with a time of 49.96,which marks a personal best for Ellis.

Sophomore Ola Sesay finished second in the long jump with a jump of 6.30m.Junior Matt Kavanagh finished second in the hammer throw finals with adistance of 65.10m.

UK freshman Temitayo Adeagbo finished eighth with a time of 4281 points inthe heptathlon competition, while sophomore Michelle Williams finishedninth in the event with 4141 points.

The Cats are back in action on Saturday, May 22, when they participate inthe Georgia Tech/Reebok Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
