Michael Bradley – Sophomore/Center
“Tomorrow’s game will be a good game for us. Indiana is probably the most physical team we’ve faced all season. They present a tough defense with their screens. We’re going to practice hard today and then go in to Louisville and get a win tomorrow.”
“The Indiana game has a lot of intensity. When you go into an arena that is split blue and red, you can’t help but be shocked. I can remember how intense the arena was last year when we came out for shoot-around. I didn’t know what to expect because I had never seen Kentucky and Indiana play. The most important thing is to try to enjoy the atmosphere.”
“I feel like I still need to improve on my overall game. I could be better on defense and find the open man more on offense. My real goal is to just improve my entire game every time out.”
Jamaal Magloire – Junior/Center
“It’s going to be an interesting game. It’ll be physical. This will be a test of how tough we really are. We need to stay mentally focused. If we’re not tough on defense, we’ll be trouble.”
#11 Saul Smith – Sophomore/Guard
“Freedom Hall will be a louder crowd. I remember the RCA Dome last year. I couldn’t believe that many people came out to watch a basketball game. The freshmen are going to leave the game tomorrow with a new-found knowledge about the Kentucky/Indiana rivalry.”
#34 Scott Padgett – Senior/Forward
“I get to go home and play in front of my family and friends. I look at it as I would any other game. We just want to go out and play our hardest. Freedom Hall is a place where I’ve gotten to play a couple of times and I’ve done well.”
“I needed a game like Saturday to get my slump over. Everyone has quit talking about it and it’s out of my head. Once I hit that first shot, I knew it was going to be a better game for me.”
“The tradition of the Kentucky/Indiana game gets you excited because of the great rivalry. I get extra adrenaline being home. It’s most important for us to get a win, not if I have a good game.”
#5 Wayne Turner – Senior/Guard
“This is probably the most physical game we play all year. It’s always a hard game and an all-out war. It’s a really exciting game. These are always big games and it’s something everyone wants to experience.”
“This is going to be a tough game. The team that executes their offense the best and plays the best defense is going to win this game. It all really depends on who wants this game the most. We need to hustle and work hard and focus on the fundamentals and play together as a team.”
#14 Heshimu Evans – Senior/Forward
“Last year’s game (against Indiana) was really exciting. It was a close game and this year will probably be the same. This is a fun game with the sea of red and the sea of blue going after each other. IU has a great team. They’ve had good guard play and they’re a tough team. This is definitely going to be a great game.”
“I don’t know if I’ve improved this year, but I think I’ve played fairly well. There’s always room for improvement, though, no matter how well you’re playing at the moment.”
