FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team fell to the 20th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks 7-2 on Sunday in Fayetteville, Ark. It was the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams. UK’s Kathy Herring won at No. 2 singles, defeating Louise Ostling 6-3, 6-3. Massoumeh Emami and Kelly Brown teamed to earn a victory at No. 1 doubles, winning 8-6 over Andrea Ho and Maria Pavlidou. Brown, UK’s No. 1 singles player, took 46th-ranked Pavlidou to three sets before falling 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. UK’s Christy Sigurski lost to Kendra Howard in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3.
