FRANKLIN, Ind. — The University of Kentucky men’s golf team fired a final round 299 to finish fourth at the Legends of Indiana Intercollegiate Invitational on Tuesday.

UK finished with a three-round total of 888, two strokes behind third-placed Indiana. Toledo won the event by an astonishing 25 strokes, finishing with a 15-under-par 849.

Jeremy Langley paced the Cats, carding a three-under-par three-round total of 213. Langley finished in fifth place, three strokes behind co-medallists Tim Rice of Toledo and D.A. Points of Illinois. UK’s Wes Furnish dropped to 26th after a final round 79, finishing at 223 for three rounds. Ryan Rieckhoff shot a 73 on the final 18 to finish in 36th with a 225. Ron Layman carded a 77 to finish with a 228 in 41st place, while Chris Mueller came in with an 84 to finish in 83rd with a 235. The Wildcats return to the links next Monday, when they travel to Cincinnati for the Xavier Intercollegiate Invitational.
