The 11th-ranked University of Kentucky men’s tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to the No.7 Duke Blue Devils Sunday at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Facility.

UK’s 6th-ranked Cedric Kauffmann won the battle of the big guns, besting Duke’s 10th-ranked Doug Root 6-3, 7-6. Carlos Drada played well for UK in the No. 2 slot, defeating Alberto Brause 6-4, 6-4. The Cats return to the court Tuesday, when they travel to Fayetteville to battle SEC rival Arkansas at 2 p.m.
