ANN ARBOR, Mich.–The University of Kentucky men’s golf team is in seventh place, out of 18 teams, scoring a 582 after two rounds of play at Michigan’s Wolverine Invitational Saturday. Wildcat Jeremy Langley is in third place firing at 137. Langley, a junior, shot at career low of 67 in the second round. Sophomore Wes Furnish is tied for 34th with a 147. Furnish is the only member of the team to compete in all nine events this season. He has a team-low stroke average of 74.67 and a low round of 70.
The Michigan course is a par 71 and plays to 6,700 yards. The 18-team field, which includes all 11 Big Ten teams, features Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kent State, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Miami (Ohio), Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Toledo and Wisconsin. Play continues on Sunday with the third and final round of the tournament.
