LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team rolled over the AlabamaCrimson Tide 8-1 on Sunday at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center in Lexington.
The 20th-ranked Cats won all three doubles matches and five of six singlesmatches en route to the easy win. Christy Sigurski moved into the top spotfor UK and topped UA’s Jill Breslin 6-1, 3-6, 7-5.
The Cats improve to 12-7, 5-4 in conference, with the win, while Alabamafalls to 3-15, 0-1 in the SEC.
UK returns to the court on Friday, when the Cats travel to Nashville toface No. 12 Vanderbilt at 7 p.m.
