LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky womens soccer team claimed a 3-0 victory over Southeastern Conference rival Auburn at the UK Soccer Complex Sunday. Three different players scored goals for the Wildcats as UK dominated from the outset.

Debbie Blake opened the scoring for UK on a shot into an open net in the 19th minute. All-SEC candidate Carrie Staber and Jen Reese assisted on the goal, which put the Cats up 1-0 at the half. In the 50th minute, Staber added a goal of her own to widen the Cats lead to 2-0. Susan Ledzianowski closed out the scoring for the Cats with her first collegiate goal at the 64:30 mark.

UK (2-1-1) fired 20 shots and took 11 corner kicks, compared to only six shots and two corner kicks for the Tigers.

With the loss, Auburn falls to 1-4 on the season. Kentucky next sees action at the Nike Tiger Invitational in Columbia, Mo., where the Cats face Missouri on Friday, Sept. 18.
