Six University of Kentucky GymKats were named to the 1998 SEC Gymnastics Academic Honor Roll, the Southeastern Conference announced Tuesday. The student-athletes earning recognition from Kentucky are: seniors Beth Cluxton, Whitney Ellis and Jennie Maxwell, junior Shawnte Hall and sophomores Mila Chitwood and Krissy Hoeferlin. This is the third recognition for both Cluxton and Ellis.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must: 1) have a 3.0 grade point average for either the past year (two semesters or three quarters) or for her career, 2) be a sophomore or higher in academic classification; and 3) have 24 semester or 26 quarter hours countable toward a degree.
