LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky rifle team returns to action this weekend when it travels to Cincinnati, Ohio for the Walsch Invitational Tournament on Friday, November 20.
Kentucky coach Harry Mullins is excited to get back into action.
“The Walsch Invitational is one of the larger invitational tournaments during the year,” Mullins said. “All the teams participating hope to showcase their talents because all of the top 10 teams attend.”
The Cats (2-0) have been on a three week break from competition but have been busy hosting the University of Kentucky Invitational Tournament over the last two weekends. The tournament is scheduled to finish on Saturday, November 21 when UK faces rival Alaska-Fairbanks.
“This will be Alaska’s first match of the season,” Mullins said. “They are looking to start the season with a win, and we will have to work hard to come up with the victory.”
