KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Kentucky volleyball teammoved its record to 15-8 on the year and 6-4 in the SEC Friday night,when it fell to SEC rival Tennessee in three games, 6-15, 9-15, 5-15.

Tennessee took the first game with strong offensive play, including a9-0 run and a .294 team hitting percentage. Kentucky battled in gametwo, but it wasn’t enough, as the Wildcats continued to struggleoffensively, posting a .172 team hitting percentage.UK’s woes continued as the Lady Vols opened the third set with a 6-0run, which proved to be too much as UT took game three by a score of15-5.

Kentucky was led by junior Katie Eiserman with her ninthdouble-double performance of the year, notching 16 kills and 13 digs.Senior LaTanya Webb notched 13 kills, five digs and a .258 hittingpercentage in the loss.

The Lady Vols were led by redshirt freshmanAriana Wilson with 16 kills, four block assists and a .424 hittingpercentage agains the Wildcats. Junior Chris Jestila had a solidperformance for UT, racking up 13 kills and six digs on the night.

Thehome-and-home series continues on Sunday, Nov. 1, when Tennessee travelsto Lexington to battle in UK’s Memorial Coliseum at 2 p.m.
