PINEHURST, N.C. – The Lady Kats golf team ended the Carolinas Collegiate Classic in seventh place Tuesday with freshman Towa Okiyama ending in 17th place.
Okiyama finished the two round tournament with an 18-over-par 162. Teammates Jenny Throgmorton and Jenny Dugan both placed 18th with 19-over-par 163s. Kristen Pepe finished the tournament in 42nd place after shooting a 12-over-par 84 in the second round, bringing her total to 24-over-par 168. Chanda Day rounded out Kentucky’s team with 19-over-par 91s in both rounds of the tournament.
The Lady Kats will see their next action on March 12 in the Dominican Republic at the Casa de Campo Intercollegiate.
