LEXINGTON, Kty. – The University of Kentucky women’s soccer team moved up to No. 6 in theGreat Lakes Regional Poll released yesterday by the National Soccer CoachesAssociation of America.
UK (2-2-1) was ranked seventh in the NSCAA Great Lakes Poll last week buta strong showing this weekend earned the Wildcats another step up the ladder.
In Soccer Buzz’s weekly regional poll, the Cats remained at No. 7 in theGreat Lakes Region.
With a 2-1 record, Notre Dame sits atop both Great Lakes Regional Polls.Four of UK’s opponents this season are ranked in the Great Lakes Top Ten bySoccer Buzz, including Michigan (5th), Minnesota (6th), Dayton (9th), andCincinnati (10th).
UK returns to action on Thursday, Sept. 16, when the Cats play host to theMarshall Thundering Herd. The match at the UK Soccer Complex will begin at7 p.m.
