Wildcats Will Attend Streck Visitation Tuesday Night:

Coach HalMumme, offensive line coach Guy Morriss, and several University ofKentucky football players plan to attend the funeral home visitationperiod for former UK football player Jeremy Streck, which is Tuesdaynight in Loveland, Ohio.

Streck died on Saturday, Oct. 9, of injuries sustained when hewas hit by a car on Oct. 1. The visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday atTufts-Schildmeyer Funeral Home. Streck’s funeral is Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. Susanna Church in Mason,Ohio.

LSU Tickets Available:

Tickets remaining from the UK studentallotment are available for the LSU at Kentucky football game, scheduledfor Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Commonwealth Stadium.

The UK Ticket Office at Memorial Coliseum is open from Mondaythrough Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets also may be ordered byphone at (606) 257-1818 or 800-928-CATS. All tickets cost $22.

The CNN/SI website has announcedmid-season college football awards and the UK team and players areprominently mentioned:

Tight end James Whalen, Jr., has been named to the”Half-American” team, i.e., an All-America team for the first half ofthe season. Whalen has 50 receptions for 573 yards and five touchdowns,leading the nation’s tight ends in all three categories.

Coach Hal Mumme is listed in the category, “Six Coaches WhoDeserve A(nother) Raise.”

Quarterback Dusty Bonner is listed in “Eight PlayersHeretofore Unmentioned Who Deserve Some Love.” Bonner has completed 170of 247 passes for 1,858 yards and 17 touchdowns. He is among thenation’s top-10 passers in completions, yardage, touchdowns, passingefficiency, and total offense.

Kentucky is listed among “Five Teams We Expect to Shake Up theSecond Half.”
