LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky swimming and diving team will open the1999-2000 season on Friday, Oct. 22, as they dive into action againstintra-state rival Louisville. The meet will begin at 5 p.m. at theLancaster Aquatic Center on the UK campus.

The Cats are led by co-captains Melissa Olson and Macon White whoqualified for the 1999 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Olson holdsthree school records (200-yard backstroke, 200 & 400 individual medleys),while White broke the 200 freestyle record last season.
