LEXINGTON, Kty. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team travels to Louisville tobegin dual match play on Friday, Jan. 28. The Cats will take on theUniversity of Louisville at 10 a.m. and the University of Miami (OH) at 3p.m.
“Along with the team, I am excited to start dual match play,” coach MarkGuilbeau said. “It really feels great to put a team out there that worksso hard and enjoys competing a great deal. It should be a lot of fun.”
The Cats are coming off an impressive showing at the Georgia Invitationallast weekend, where the team had several players advance into the laterrounds. Doubles team Brooke Skeen and Leigh Bradwell fell short of takingthe title by falling in the finals, 8-6. In singles action, Skeen upset thetournament’s second-seeded player before falling in the quarterfinals tothe nation’s 21st ranked player.
