Shevan Threats takes away first in long jump, third in triple jump.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 29, 2000) — Shevan Threats finished first in the long jump competition Saturday at theAir Force Invitational to add to her third place effort in the triple jumpon Friday. Threats’ leap of 19-06.25 was three inches further than thesecond place finisher.

Also in the long jump, Falana Greenwell grabbed fifth place with a seasonbest distance of 18-08.50. In the high jump, Janet Crawford earned a secondplace mark at 5-07.00.

For the men, Jude Hammond placed fourth in the 200 meter dash with a timeof 22.16 and eighth in the 60 meter dash finishing in 7.02. In the highjump, Andrew Vander Wagen took fourth place with a height of 6-10.75.

On Friday Matt Kavanagh earned his fourth NCAA provisional qualifying tossin as many meets in the 35# weight throw, and Temitayo Adeagbo took secondin the pentathlon.

The Wildcats will return to Lexington to host the Rod McCravy Memorial onFeb. 4-5.
