School Record Beam Score Pushes No. 10 Kentucky to Season High Road Score in Regular Season Finale

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Counting five 9.9+ scores in the final rotation, No. 10 Kentucky (6-6, 3-5 SEC) tied the program record beam score with a 49.575 to post the team’s second highest total score of the season in a 198.625-197.725 defeat at No. 3 Florida (10-3, 5-3 SEC). Florida’s score was the highest mark in the country this season.

It was a high scoring night for the Cats in the Swamp, as nine season highs and six career highs were either set or matched. Additionally, Kentucky gymnasts scored 9.9 or high in exactly half—12 of 24—of their routines.

Skylar Killough-Wilhelm posted her second consecutive all-around total at 39.600 or higher, scoring 9.925s on vault, beam, and floor—all season highs—to score a 39.600. Creslyn Brose and Hailey Davis each contributed a pair of 9.9+ scores, with Brose posting a career high on beam with a 9.950 and a 9.925 on floor and Davis matching her career high of 9.925 on bars and earning the same score on floor.

The Cats started the night on bars, sticking five of six landings to score a 49.300—the second highest score on the season for Kentucky. Cecily Rizo started the nigh with a season high 9.825, followed by a 9.800 from Annie Riegert. Jillian Procasky followed with a solid 9.875 to set up Davis’ career high-tying routine. Delaynee Rodriguez counted a 9.850 and Killough-Wilhelm wrapped up the rotation with a 9.825.

Moving to vault, Kentucky added a solid 49.375 to its total. Procasky and Rizo started the rotation with a pair of 9.850 Yurchenko fulls, with Rizo matching her season best outing. Makenzie Wilson added another 9.900 to her account with a solid front handspring pike half, with Isabella Magnelli following with a 9.850 for the same vault. Ryan Noonan’s score of 9.750 was dropped, but Killough-Wilhelm vaulted a huge Yurchenko 1.5 to match her career high of 9.925.

Kentucky kept its momentum on the floor exercise going with a 49.475—its fourth straight meet with a 49.4+ on the apparatus. Procasky and Magnelli started the rotation with scores of 9.775 and 9.800, respectively. The Cats then closed the rotation with four scores of 9.9 or better, started with a 9.900 from Rodriguez, who has gone 9.9+ in every meet since moving to the third position. Killough-Wilhelm matched her season high from last weekend with a 9.925 and Brose and Davis each matched that mark to close the penultimate rotation.

The Cats saved their best rotation for last, matching a program record with a 49.575. The Cats did not count a score lower than 9.9 to tie the mark set by the Cats in the 2023 NCAA Norman Regional Final. Rodriguez started the rotation by matching her career high of a 9.9. Brose then followed with the highest score of the rotation, executing a huge punch front, front toss connected to a back handspring, and sticking her roundoff 1.5 dismount to go 9.950 in the two spot and score her second career high in as many weekends. Sharon Lee matched her career high with her third score of 9.900 of the season in the third position. Chesney Bennett’s score of 9.675 was dropped, but was followed by a career-high matching 9.925 from Killough-Wilhelm. Magnelli closed the night with a 9.900, continuing her streak of 9.9+ scores to 11 meets.

With tonight’s score, the Cats improved their National Qualifying Score to 197.315, securing their post in the 2025 SEC Gymnastics Championships, held next Saturday, March 22 at Legcay Arena in Birmingham, Ala. Full seedings, pairings, and rotation orders will be announced later this weekend.
