LEXINGTON, Ky. – Due to inclement weather, Sunday’s series finale between the University of Kentucky and Mississippi State was cancelled after a delay of slightly more than an hour. The game will not be made up.
By taking the first two games of the series, No. 17 Mississippi State (18-2, 5-0 Southeastern Conference) won its second SEC series of the season. Heading into next weekend SEC match-up with Tennessee, the 18th-ranked Wildcats (18-4, 1-4 SEC) have dropped both of their SEC series this season. Of UK’s four conference losses, three have been by one run.
The Wildcats return to action on Tuesday, March 21 versus Lee University. First pitch at Cliff Hagan Stadium is set for 3:05 p.m. ET.
