ROGERS, Ark. — Freshman Marie Allen finished the 2000 SEC Women’s Golf Championships with a three-round total of 228, just four strokes behind the individual champion Danielle Downey of Auburn. She shot a 1-over-par 73 in the final round to finish the tournament in eighth place, her first top-10 finish of her collegiate career. The Lady Kats finished seventh, their best Championship finish in four years. Auburn claimed the team title.

Sophomore Towa Okiyama moved up in the standings from yesterday. She shot a 5-over-par 77 on the final day of competition to up her place from 33rd to 27th. Freshman Rachel Lester finished the tournament with a three-round total of 243 to give her a share of 37th place. Senior Jenny Dugan and sophomore Kristen Pepe placed 46th and 55th, respectively.
