PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Junior Shevan Threats gave the University of Kentucky agood start at the Penn Relays on Thursday with a fourth-place finish in thecollege women’s long jump.

Threats’ leap of 19-02.00 was only four inches behind third place and washer second-best leap of the season.

In the college women’s javelin throw, senior Beth Burkett took 11th placewith a heave of 134-04.00.

The Cats return to action Friday, April 28, as the men’s distance medleyrelay team takes the track, along with the women’s sprint medley and4x200-meter teams. In the field, the women’s triple jump gets everythingstarted at 10 a.m.
