Cats head to Michigan to face No. 19 Wolverines.

DAYTON, Ohio (October 28, 1998) — The University of Kentucky womens soccer teambattled Dayton to a 3-3 overtime tie on Wednesday night.

Dayton’s Angie Sparks opened the scoring with a goal at the 1:43 mark, butUKs Jen McMaster evened the game at 1-1 only 11 minutes later.

In the 34th minute, Debbie Blake put the Wildcats (8-6-3, 5-3 SoutheasternConference) ahead 2-1 with a shot off an assist from Suzie Ledzianowski.However, the Flyers (12-4-1, 8-1 Atlantic 10 Conference) rallied, tying thegame 11 minutes into the second half when Ingrid Zielke netted a header.McMaster scored again for the Cats in the 82nd minute, off another assistfrom Ledzianowksi.

With the score 3-2 in favor of the Cats, Daytons Megan McKnight tied thegame up for third time only three minutes later. Both teams failed to score intwo overtime periods.

The Cats next travel to Michigan to face the 19th-ranked Wolverines onSunday.
