Wildcats take Spartans to overtime before suffering 1-0setback.

GREENSBORO, N.C. (September 11, 1998) — The University of Kentucky men’s soccer teamdropped its first game of the UNC Greensboro Classic on Friday night.

The game was scoreless going into the second overtime, but UNCGreensboro’s Mark Pinch scored on a header in the 116th minute to give theSpartans the win.

With the loss, Kentucky falls to 0-4, while UNCG improves to 3-0-1. TheCats next face Appalachian State in the Classic. The Mountaineers fell toWright State, 1-0, on Friday for their first loss in five games.
