The University of Kentucky mens golf team finished in 7thplace at the 2000 Wolverine North Invitational after two daysof competition in Ann Arbor, Mich. The team posted atournament total of 901. The Wildcats finished 32 strokesbehind the champion Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Senior Wes Furnish had another impressive showing on theweekend finishing in 7th place with a three-day total of 218,just 10 shots off Wilhelm Schaumans tournament low 208.

Other UK scores included senior Pat Kelly, who tied for 19thplace, with a 224, sophomore Andy Dustman with a 229,junior John Becket with a 230 and freshman Matt Wells witha 240.

The Wildcats will again see action on Sept. 30, when theycompete in the Northern Illinois Invitational.
