University of Kentucky women’s tennis players Leigh Bradwell and Shannon Stafford both finished up action in the June Stewart Invitational on the campus of Vanderbilt University on Sunday, Oct. 29.

Bradwell, a sophomore from Toronto, Canada, ended the tournament on a high note as she cruised past Mable Abraham of Georgia State, 6-0, 6-0, in the 2nd Flight consolation bracket. Fellow Wildcat Shannon Stafford, a sophomore fromGainesville, Fla., was defeated in her consolation match by Monika Shmid of Alabama-Birmingham 6-1, 6-3.

The Cats return to the courts on Thursday, Nov. 3, when they travel to Winston Salem, N.C., to participate inthe Rolex Southeast Regional Championship.
