(Nov. 4, 2000) — The University of Kentucky rifle team will play host to Murray State University on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 8 a.m. in the Buell Armory, located on the UK campus.

The meeting marks the second home match for the Cats this season. UK is coming off of a tough loss to Navy last weekend,6-66-6046. Kentucky was led by freshman Bradley Wheeldon, who tallied an 1168 total to lead all competitors. But, Wheeldon’s effortsjust weren’t enough as Navy took top honors in both air rifle and smallbore.

“We’re really hoping to get back on track with a win this week,” Coach Harry Mullins said. “The team did well last weekend, butcouldn’t quite tackle Navy. We’re hoping to build on a strong performance and grab a win this week.”
