The University of Kentucky women’s golf team moved up to 15th place with its score of 622 at the Lady Gator Invitationalfollowing the second round of action on Saturday, Feb. 24, in Gainesville, Fla.
Auburn held tight to its lead with a six-over-par 582, while Georgia was close behind with a 585. UGA’s Summer Sirmons leads allindividuals entering Sunday’s final round with a two-day total of two-under-par 142.
Sophomore Rachel Lester remains the top Lady Kat competitor in 34th place with her two-round total of 152, while fellowsophomore Kelly Anders is close behind in 38th with a 153. Junior Towa Okiyama is in 69th with a total of 159, and senior JennyThrogmorton’s 161 ties her for 73rd. Junior Kristen Pepe rounds out the UK lineup in 85th with a two-round score of 165.
