Los Angeles, Calif. — The top-ranked UCLA Bruinsmen’s tennis team remained undefeated onthe season after defeating Kentucky, 7-0, thisafternoon at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. Kentuckyfellto 7-6 overall (1-0 SEC) with the setback.

UCLA swept all the doubles matches to earn the firstpoint of the match. At No. 1, theninth-ranked tandem of Jean-Julien Rojer and Jean-NoelGrinda defeated Edo Bowano and JohanGrunditz, 8-5, to clinch the doubles point for theBruins.

The Bruins were equally impressive in singles, asUCLA, led by four ranked players, took all sixmatches. No. 76 Erfan Djahangiri clinched the victoryat No. 3, winning in straight sets over juniorGustav Pousette, 6-3, 6-4.

The Cats continue their road swing on Friday, March16, when they travel to Baton Rouge, La.,to take on Southeastern Conference rival LouisianaState before wrapping up the road swing on Saturday,March 17 at South Alabama.
