The University of Kentucky men’s soccer team travels to Indianapolis for a non-conference match with IUPUI on Sunday, Oct. 6. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at the IU Michael A. Carroll Track and Soccer Stadium.
The Wildcats (5-4-1, 3-0-0 Mid-American Conference) are coming off a big win on Friday at MAC-rival Bowling Green. In the last of three league road games, UK topped the Falcons, 3-1, to maintain possession of first place in the MAC.
John Monebrake led the Cats with two goals, including the game-winner, while All-America candidate Ilkka Jantti contributed a score of his own. Monebrake leads the team with 13 points on five goals and three assists and captured his second two-goal game of the season at BG.
The Jaguars (6-3-0, 1-1-0 Mid-Continent Conference) dropped their first game in four outings after a 2-1 loss at Western Illinois on Friday. Matt Hodges and Ben Higginbotham lead IUPUI with eight points each. Hodges has a team-leading four goals (including three game-winners), while Higginbotham has tallied two goals and four assists.
