Lexington, KY – The University of Kentucky women’s basketball team looks for its first road win of the season when it travels to Richmond, Va., on Sunday, Dec. 16 to take on Virginia Commonwealth at 2 p.m. ET. The game will be carried live on WLXG-AM Sports Radio 1300 with Chris Cross.
The Cats (3-4) hope to snap a two-game losing streak after falling to Miami, Ohio and Western Kentucky on the road last week. UK is 0-4 this season when playing on the opponents’ home floor.
“We have struggled to put two halves together on the road,” UK Coach Bernadette Mattox said. “We have got to crash the boards better this week and take care of the basketball. Now that finals are over, we have nothing to do but think about basketball.”Like Kentucky, VCU (2-5) looks to snap a two-game losing streak. The Rams fell to Richmond and Minnesota at home last week.
