Brown Summit, N.C. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team moved in 12th place after the second round of the Bryan National Collegiate on Saturday, April 6 at Bryan Park Champion’s Course in Brown Summit, N.C. The Lady Kats registered a team score of 301, an 11-shot improvement from their opening round, to jump three spots by the end of the second day.
Senior Towa Okiyama shot a second-round 70 to lead the Lady Kats while also launching herself into a tie for eighth-place with a 147. Okiyama’s 2-under par 70 was a personal best for the Tammuning, Guam native.
Other Lady Kat scores included Rachel Lester with a 154, Kelly Anders with a 156, Lauren George with a 157 and Kristen Pepe with a 161.
The Bryan National Collegiate will conclude on Sunday, April 7 with the final round slated to begin at 9:30 a.m.
