LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The baseball game between the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville Wednesday night was called due to severe rain and lightning over Louisville Slugger Field. The 82nd meeting between the Wildcats (14-25) and Cardinals (26-10) lasted only 34 minutes and was cancelled in the top of the third inning after U of L built a 4-0 lead on UK.
UK will next play host to No. 5 South Carolina in a three-game Southeastern Conference series at Cliff Hagan Stadium. Sophomore right-hander Cory Hahn (3-5, 4.76) will take the mound for the Wildcats in the opener on Friday, April 26 at 6 p.m. ET.
