Wildcats in the SEC Defensive Stats: Here are the Kentucky players among the Southeastern Conference defensive leaders in stats released in the league office Tuesday.

DE Vincent Burns: tied for the SEC lead in fumbles caused with two; tied for second in fumbles recovered with two; tied for fifth in tackles for loss with 5.5

DT Dewayne Robertson: tied for seventh in quarterbacks sacks with two

FS Quentus Cumby: tied for third in pass breakups with six

CB Derrick Tatum and CB Leonard Burress: tied for fifth in pass breakups with five each

DE Otis Grigsby: tied for third in quarterback hurries with eight

DT Jeremy Caudill: tied for 10th in quarterback hurries with six

As a team, Kentucky leads the league in fumbles recovered with eight and the Wildcats are second in tackles for loss with 36.

Pinner Second in the Nation in Yards From Scrimmage: Kentucky running back Artose Pinner ranks second in the nation in yards from the line of scrimmage, i.e., rushing and receiving yards added together.

Pinner has a total of 765 yards from scrimmage this season, including 597 rushing yards and 168 receiving. He trails only Michael Turner of Northern Illinois, who totals 802 rushing and receiving yards (742 plus 60).

Tickets Going Quickly For South Carolina: Sales at the UK ticket office have been steady and less than 2,000 public tickets remain for the South Carolina at Kentucky game on Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Practice Schedule: The Wildcats practice Wednesday and Thursday at approximately 2:20 p.m. The first- and second-team players will be released at approximately 3:45 p.m. Then, the third-teamers and redshirts will practice for approximately 20 minutes.

The Wildcats will practice Friday at 10 a.m. with a similar length of practice. There is no school on Friday, hence the morning workout.
