Three Wildcats Named to “All-Prodigal Son” Team: Three Kentucky Wildcats, defensive end Otis Grigsby, linebacker Ronnie Riley and center Nick Seitze, were named to the “All-Prodigal Son” team, comprised of players from Texas who are playing their collegiate football outside the Lone Star State, as selected by Olin Buchanan of the San Antonio News-Express.
All three Wildcats hail from the San Antonio area and came to UK from Judson High School.
Grigsby had his best season during his senior campaign in 2002. He made 65 tackles, including 10 tackles for loss and 2.5 quarterback sacks. He had 20 quarterback hurries, one pass breakup, one fumble caused and one fumble recovery.
Also a senior in 2002, Riley made 75 stops on the season. He had 2.5 tackles for loss, including one quarterback sack, and had three quarterback hurries. Riley, a team captain, was an exemplary leader in helping the Wildcats achieve a 7-5 record, the team’s most victories since 1998.
Seitze started all 12 games at center. He did an excellent job making the blocking adjustment calls and handling the shotgun snap. Seitze anchored the Wildcat line, which blocked for the SEC rushing leader Artose Pinner and second-team All-SEC quarterback Jared Lorenzen. Seitze returns for his senior season in 2003.
Wildcats in the All-Star Games: Wildcats participating in the post-season all-star games include wide receiver Aaron Boone, defensive end Otis Grigsby, tight end Chase Harp, punter Glenn Pakulak and running back Artose Pinner. Here is a list of the games and the players who will participate in each game:
