LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky track and field program landed 20 current and former student-athletes on the 2003 Southeastern Conference Track & Field Academic Honor Rolls. Twelve women and eight men were named to the lists, which were announced Wednesday by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive.
Included on the lists were current athletes Olubusola Adeagbo, Simidele Adeagbo, Janet Crawford, Beth Heimann, Molly Lonergan, Kristen Mowrey, Caitlin Phillips, Ben Brewster, David Freeman, Thomas Morgan, Patton Segraves and Tony Tzouanakis.
The lists, which are based on grades from the 2001-02 academic year, also included former Wildcats Jennifer Sauer, Candice Shipp, Aisha Smith, Karen Wartgow, Jack Morgan, Kevin O’Connor and Bryan Wilson.
The group includes nine student-athletes which were named to the team in 2002.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have a 3.0 or better grade point average and have 24 hours completed toward their degree. The athlete also must be a sophomore or higher in academic standing.
