Burton, Abren, and Booker Impress: Following Thursday afternoon’s practice at the Nutter Training Facility, Coach Rich Brooks was asked about true freshmen who have looked good in practice. Coach Brooks brought up the names of wide receiver Keenan Burton, defensive lineman Ricky Abren, and linebacker Brad Booker.

“Keenan Burton is going to be a good receiver for us,” Brooks said. “Ricky Abren will be a factor in the defensive line, and Brad Booker may see some action at linebacker and on special teams.”

Brooks also noted that linebacker Deion Holts, who sustained a bruised back during Wednesday’s scrimmage, was much improved today and hopes to be at full speed by Monday.

Record Number of Student Season Tickets Sold: University of Kentucky students have purchased 1,440 season tickets so far, breaking the school record for student season ticket sales.

This is the fourth year that UK students have had the opportunity to purchase season tickets. The previous record was 1,331 student season tickets for the 2000 season.
