Kentucky’s Aibika Kalsarieva headlined a list of Wildcat winners Friday at the HEB-Baylor Fall Invitational in Waco, Texas. Kalsarieva advanced to the quarterfinals with a 6-1, 6-2 second-round victory over Ristine Olson of Texas after earning a first-round bye. Kalsarieva will face sixth-seeded Kit Carson of SMU on Saturday.

Junior Danielle Petrisko defeated Jitka Vetrovcova of Texas-Arlington, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 in the first round before falling to Debbie Larocque of Arizona in the second round.

In the Gold bracket, freshman Joelle Schwenk advanced to the second round by default but dropped a tough three-set match to Magdi Rekasi of Mississippi State, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6. Freshman Lara Maurer notched a 6-4, 6-1 win over Arizona’s Jessie Rochefort before losing to Daria Potapova of Baylor, 6-2, 6-1.

Freshman Christine Simpson tallied a decisive 6-1, 6-2 win over Arizona’s Kelly Duncan before falling to SMU’s Svetalna Kouzmenko.

Kalsarieva and Sarah Foster teamed up earlier in the day for an 8-2 victory over Marcelle Hirt and Brittany Seret of Mississippi State. They advance to Saturday’s quarterfinals.
