The Kentucky women’s golf team heads back into action on Friday, Sept. 26, when they travel to Franklin, Tenn., for the Mason Rudolph Women’s Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. The 54-hole, three-day tournament features sixteen teams that will tee it up starting Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. and will culminate with Sunday’s final round.

The Cats are looking to improve upon a 12th-place finish out of 17 teams at the season-opening Cougar Fall Classic in Charleston, S.C. UK finished the tournament with a three-round score of 940 at the par 72 Yeaman’s Hall Golf Course in Hanahan, S.C. Sophomore transfer Erin Faulkner led Kentucky in her first tournament with a tie for 21st, while senior Eva Gessner made up ground in the final round, carding a 74 in the final 18 holes to finish just behind Faulkner in 27th. Marissa Muir (t-64), Emily Culbertson (t-70) and Stacy Springer (t-78) rounded out the Cats’ lineup.
