The University of Kentucky junior varsity women’s golf team finished in second place at the EKU Fall Invitational at the Arlington Golf Course in Richmond, Ky. Kentucky shot a 615 in round two and finished six strokes behind Tennesse Tech, who took the team title home after a 609 on Saturday.

UK’s Katie Dixon took second at the tournament with a 147 for both rounds. Dixon shot a one-over 73 on Friday and a two-over 74 in the final round. Stacy Springer shot a 78 on the final 18 holes to come in 19th place, while fellow Cat Maggie Gabelman shot a 76 to improve to 22nd place overall. Alanna Silvertrust and Laura Clemmons also competed for UK, taking 38th and 43rd, respectively.

The junior varsity squad returns to action on Nov. 4-5, when they travel to Nashville, Tenn., to compete in the Tennesse State Tournament.
