Tickets for the 21st annual Excite Nite, which will take place Jan. 9 in Memorial Coliseum, and season tickets for all five of Kentucky?s home gymnastics meets are now on sale at the UK ticket office. All tickets for Excite Nite are $5 each and season tickets cost $10 each. Season ticket holders will be guaranteed reserved seating at all five home meets, including Excite Nite. Tickets can be purchased at the UK ticket office in Memorial Coliseum or by calling (859) 257-1818 or toll-free (800) 928-CATS.

Kentucky is set to play host to No. 24 Brigham Young in the 2004 edition of Excite Nite and UK will honor former head coach and founder of the event, Leah Little. Little started the University of Kentucky gymnastics program in 1974-75 and guided the Cats for 28 years before retiring last season.

In addition to the Cats-Cougars action on the mats, Excite Nite will feature lots of entertainment and excitement as it has for the past 20 years. ?The Start of Something Magical? theme will include local magician Mike Woodward, as well as performances by the Wildcat Danzers, UK Cheerleaders (Blue Squad) and the King Firecrackers Jump Ropers. There will also be a special guest appearance by Angelica from the ?Rugrats? cartoon show on Nickelodeon.
